In the process of machining, the mechanical equipment can not go smoothly without the assistance of the middle bearing. When machinery fails during normal operation, it is most likely caused by bearing failure. Therefore, it is very important to learn how to install and remove the bearing as a whole. Next, THB will share with you the skills of installing and removing bearings.


1. Installation skills of bearings


(1) During installation, under no circumstances can the installation be knocked. The forces exerted on the bearing must never be transmitted from one bearing ring to the other through the rolling elements, otherwise damage to the raceways may occur. Depending on the type and size, we can choose mechanical, thermal or hydraulic methods.


(2) When installing the eccentric sleeve, first place the eccentric sleeve on the eccentric step of the inner sleeve of the bearing, and tighten it in the direction of rotation of the shaft by hand. Then, insert the small iron rod into or against the countersunk hole on the eccentric sleeve, and tap the small iron rod along the rotation direction of the shaft with a hammer to make the eccentric sleeve firmly installed, and lock the hexagon socket screw on the eccentric sleeve.


(3) Do not tighten the bolts that fix the bearing housing. Allow the bearing shell to rotate in the bearing seat, and then fasten the bearing seat bolts. Install the bearing and seat on the other end of the same shaft in the same way, and turn the shaft a few times to let the bearing itself find the correct position automatically.


(4) Before installing the bearing on the shaft, smooth and clean the surface of the journal, and apply oil to the journal to prevent rust and lubricate (allow the bearing to rotate slightly on the shaft), and pull out the fixing pin of the bearing jacket at the same time.


(5) Apply lubricating oil on the mating surface of the bearing seat and the bearing, and install the bearing into the bearing seat. Then put the assembled bearing on the shaft together with the bearing seat and push it to the desired position for installation.


(6) In order to prevent frictional corrosion between the mating surfaces, it is recommended to apply a thin layer of anti-creep corrosion agent on the mating surfaces for the bearing rings with clearance fit.


2. Disassembly skills of bearings


(1) Loosen the locking screw on the bearing eccentric sleeve with an Allen wrench, then insert a small iron rod into the countersunk hole on the top cover eccentric sleeve, and loosen the eccentric sleeve against the rotation direction of the shaft.


(2) After loosening the bolts fixing the bearing seat, remove the imported bearing from the shaft together with the bearing seat. It should be noted that before removing the bearing seat on one end of the shaft, the bearing seat bolt on the other end of the shaft should be loosened to avoid damage to the bearings at both ends.
